Zelma Watts (Watts) Rigney

Zelma Watts Rigney, 86 of Huntington, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday April 12, 2010 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM at Beard Mortuary with The Rev. Robert B. Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park.  She was born August 8, 1923 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Alvis and Naomi Malcolm Watts. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Donald Ray Rigney, an infant brother Richard, two sisters, Ruth Harshbarger and Cynthia Parker. She was a member of Highlawn Baptist Church and the Koinonia Sunday School Class. She retired from St. Mary’s Hospital with over 20 years of service and was a volunteer for 15 years at Altizer Elementary School. Zelma’s faith was an inspiration to her family and friends, she will be sadly missed by those who survive her, her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Hank Blume of Huntington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Nancy Rigney of Huntington and Mark and Tammy Rigney of Anna, Ohio; grandsons, Michael Todd (Shawn), Andrew Alan and Donald Alan; a granddaughter, Tonya Nicole (Joel) Repouille; great grandsons, Bryson and Brady Rigney, a brother, Joe Watts and a host friends. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hospice House for their excellent care.
