Obituary
JAMES WILLIAM LAWRENCE, 75, a lifelong resident of Huntington passed away suddenly on Tuesday at his residence. He was born on November 26, 1935 in Huntington a son of the late William and Frances Bailey Lawrence. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, William DeLane Lawrence and one grandson, James Michael Close. He retired from Owens Illinois Glass Co. with 38 years of service. Along with a talent for photography, he had been a trainer for the Golden Gloves and was an active member of the Odd Fellows. Generous to a fault, he never met a stranger and was kind to everyone. He had a great love for his family and friends including his beloved animals. He is loved and respected by those who knew him. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Linda Whitaker Lawrence, his son, James Daniel (Kil-C) Lawrence; five daughters, Angela Diane (Mark) Close, Pamela Dawn (Kenny) Spry, Alicia Dale (Mike) Lawrence, Mary Elizabeth (Randy) Wooten and Jaqueline Michelle (John) Lawrence; Patricia Baxter, mother of DeLane, Danny, Diane, Pam and Alicia; twelve grandchildren, Tiffany, Zachery (Michelle), Michael, Nicole, Kristy, Diona, Scot, Stephen, Marissa, Sylvia, Leah and Randall; Maddox, Caydence, Connor and Joseph; his beloved friends and extended family, Bob Partlow, Dolores Gardner, Mark and Warren. We love you daddy! Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Noon at Beard Mortuary. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the mortuary.
