Obituary

Sharon “Lynn” Appledorn, 59 of Huntington, WV, stood up and ran into the arms of her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Monday, February 22, 2010.  She was immediately embraced by her parents, Charles Edward Roach, Clara Ellender Kirby and Lonnie Lewis Kirby. And finally, she was able to reach out and hold her precious great-niece, Kaitlin Alexa Dial. Family members left on Earth to remember and cherish her until they meet her again in Heaven are: beloved daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Chuck Howerton; granddaughter, Brooke Howerton; special niece and nephew, Jennifer and Jason Dial; great niece and great-nephew, Kelsie and Andrew Dial, both whom she cherished beyond measure and were the center of her world.  She was a member of Huntington First Church of the Nazarene and a faithful employee of Cabell Huntington Hospital for over thirty years. An infinite amount of gratitude and love pours out to the following friends who impacted Lynn’s life on Earth; Megan Burns, Katti Wright, Mindy McGinnis, Amy Jo Queen, Diana Wilson, Dallas Moore, and the compassionate crews of Patriot Ambulance. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Hospice of Huntington or SIDS Alliance/First Candle, in memory of Kaitlin Alexa Dial.  Funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene with Dallas Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at Beard Mortuary.
