SUSAN CAROL WINTERS, 56, of Huntington passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at her residence. She was born on June 11, 1955 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Marvin and Doris Childers Winters. She is survived by her ex-husband and long time companion, Doug Shaulis of Huntington; sisters, Donna Winters (Richard) DelCheccolo and Joy Winters both of Huntington; nephew, Christopher DelCheccolo of Huntington; friends, Marsha Lively Fowler, Sharon Francis and Sandy Bertoshe. Susan was employed at the Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital as Activity Director. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Ron Burnsworth officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may call two hours before the service on Wednesday at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Little Victories Animal Shelter, 3589 Co Rd 60/11, Ona, WV 25545, or the animal charity of your choice, in Susan’s honor.
