Allen Junior Smith, 82 of Lesage, widower of Wanda Skeens Smith, passed away on March 2, 2013 at the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House in Huntington. He was born on September 20, 1930 in Huntington, a son of the late Thurman and Lecta Alice Dean Smith. Allen was a security guard at TSI and attended Cox Landing United Methodist Church. He was also a 50 year member of the Masons and the Eastern Star. In addition to his parents and wife, Allen is preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters, and one great-grand daughter. He is survived by his three children, Michael (Donna) Smith, Brenda (Rick) Spurlock, and Rita Johnson; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 1:00pm at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Carl Mouser officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington. Visitation from 11:00am until time of service on Tuesday at the mortuary.
