Obituary
ELAINE BARR SHARPS, 90, a resident of
Woodlands in Huntington, W.Va., went to be with our Lord on Thursday,
December 11, 2014. She was born July 4, 1924, the daughter of William J. and
Blanche W. Sharps. Elaine was retired from International Nickel Company,
where she worked as a chemist after graduation from Huntington East High
School. Elaine was a life long member of Highlawn Presbyterian Church, and
loved both our Lord and her church family. She is survived by two cousins,
Ken Snyder and Dorcas Kent, as well as a host of fiends and her church
family. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, at 1 p.m.,
at Highlawn Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rick Wilson officiating. In lieu
of flowers, contributions may be made to the Highlawn Presbyterian Memorial
Fund. A note of special thanks to the staff of 2 East, Woodlands Health
Care, for the love and care they gave Elaine while she was a resident. Beard
Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.
