      Obituary
 ROBERT L. “BOB” DOZER, 
    71, of Huntington, WV passed away at the VA Medical Center in Huntington on 
    Monday, January 5, 2015. He was born on May 12, 1943 in Zanesville, OH, a 
    son of the late Kenneth and Wanda (Geddes) Dozer. In addition to his parents 
    he was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Dozer and a son, Russell 
    “Rusty” Alan Dozer. Mr. Dozer was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, 
    serving from 1965 – 1968. During his service he was wounded in action. He 
    was honored for his service by receiving the Distinguished Service Cross, 
    Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 
    Device 1960, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Combat 
    Infantryman Badge Expert Rifle M-14. After his service, Mr. Dozer was 
    employed by Grief Brothers Corp. until his retirement 44 years later. Mr. 
    Dozer was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Moose Lodge, and the 
    American Legion. He also enjoyed golfing with his many friends who will miss 
    his infectious laugh. He is survived by a daughter, Lori and granddaughter, 
    Erin of Dayton, OH. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 
    4 – 6 PM at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. A memorial service will follow at 6 
    PM at the mortuary with Pastor Ron Burnsworth officiating. In lieu of 
    flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the American legion 
    Post 177, Barboursville, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Mr. Dozer’s 
    honor.
