Jason Allan Petrie, 45, of Huntington, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Born August 24, 1970, he was the son of Penny Dennison and the late Carl Mitchell Petrie. Jason was a well-respected member of the community and was admired by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandson and friend. In addition to his mother, Jason is survived by his wife of 20 years, Christina Petrie; his children, Heather Lee Symphony and Jason Jazz Allan Petrie; grandmother, Lee Lee (Jim) Cometto; aunt, Carol (Ralph) Scarberry; long-time friends, Tim James, Brian Dunfee, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances. In addition to his father, Jason was preceded in death by his step-father, James Dennison and grandfather, Ralph C. Scarberry. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Chuck Lawrence, officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park. The family will welcome friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
