W. Ernest “Ern” Turner, 83 of Huntington, WV went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House. Services will be held on Saturday at noon at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Jana Stoner officiating. The family will receive friends after 10:00 a.m. He was born March 5, 1933 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Wilbur E. and Jettie Ballengee Turner. Ern graduated from Huntington East High School and Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. He was a pharmacist and the former owner of Medical Arts Pharmacy. He was a past member of the former St. Luke United Methodist Church and a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church for the past eighteen years. He was also a member and past president of Huntington Kiwanis Club and Southern WV Pharmacists Association. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Nancy Beard Turner; a daughter and son-in-law, Lee Ann and Tim Hill of Huntington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Robert and Terry Turner of Huntington and Steve and Lee Turner of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Stephanie (Mike) DeRose and Sarah Beth Hill of Huntington; Nick Turner (Erica) of Alpharetta, GA; Ryan Turner of Rockville, MD; Rachel Turner of Huntington; Drew Turner and Cameron Turner of Knoxville, TN; five great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter soon to be born and a host of extended family, friends and church family. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff on the Neurology Floor at St. Mary’s Medical Center for their kindness and excellent care.
