Obituary

Dale Murrell Rife
(February 15, 1940 - March 30, 2014)

Dale Murrell Rife 74, of Glenwood, WV, died Sunday March 30, 2014 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 PM Thursday April 3, 2014 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington, with Pastor Henry Clay officiating. Burial will be in Greenbottom Memorial Park. Dale was born February 15, 1940 in Cabell County, WV a son of the late Carl Douglas & Pauline Spurlock Rife. He retired from the A.C.F. Industries with 39 years of service and attended Sunrise United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Virginia Black Rife, two daughters, Kim Sydenstricker & husband Scott, Lisa Bird & husband Chris and one son Steven Dale Rife & wife Kim all of Glenwood, one sister, Sue Watkins & husband Bert of Lesage, 9 grandchildren, Sarah & Audrey Sydenstricker & Audrey’s fiancée Michael Holland III, Lacy & Haley Bird, Jackie, Heather, Paige, Tabby & Liam Rife. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday April 2, 2014.
