Myrtle Davis, 89, of Ona, WV, died Saturday, June 18, 2016, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV, with Pastor Gordon Rutherford officiating. Myrtle was born May 7, 1927 in Logan County, WV, a daughter of the late Jessie and Wealtha Caldwell Dillon. She was a member of the Mount Union Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Oval Davis, one brother, Lilborn Dillon and one sister, Belva Smith. Survivors include daughters, Joyce Allman of Barboursville, Sherry Smith and Jay Isaacs, Jr., of Huntington, and Stella Nance of Hurricane, two sisters, Elsie Comer of Pecks Mill, WV and Merble Comer of Sanford, NC, two brothers, Jimmie Dillon and wife Violet of Albany, OH and Denver Dillon of Hurricane, WV, a sister-in-law, Nevada Dillon of Chapmanville, WV, 4 grandchildren, Heather Burd, Michael Blower, Anna Aliff, and Tara "Buffy" Allman and granddaughters-in-law, Tammy Gue and Cynthia Hayes, 19 great grandchildren, Kayla, Justin, Brandon, Cory and Raven Burd, Michael and Makayla Blower, Dana and Juli Aliff, Kaylie Harmon, Alexis, Christopher, Katlin and Mark Holmes, Hallie, Georgie "Charlie", Kyla and Kayla Anderson, and Cecila Wilson, great great-grandchildren, Jacob, Mason and Emily Scarberry and Jaden "Garfield" Smith, special friends, George and Rhonda Dennison, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Visitation will be from 10:30 until 11:00 AM Wednesday at the cemetery. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
