Marion "Mort" Reed, Jr., 77, of Huntington, died Thursday, January 17, 2019 at his residence. He was born July 9, 1941in Huntington a son of the late Marion Reed, Sr., and Faye Florence Rife Reed. He was a local contractor having owned Black Hawk Development and was a member of the Carpenter's Union. Survivors include his two sons, Wayne B. Reed and his wife, Susan Reed of Little Switzerland, NC, and Brent Madison Reed of Huntington; a granddaughter, Emily Reed of Anchorage, Alaska; and the mother of his children, Patricia Reynolds Reed of Huntington. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, January 21, 2019, at Greenbottom Memorial Park, Greenbottom, WV., with Wayne B. Reed officiating. Friends may visit with family a half hour prior to services at the cemetery.
