John Henry McKinnon, 71, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Florida, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019, in Huntington. He was born March 15, 1948 in Bennettsville, SC a son of the late John Wesley and Rosa Miles McKinnon. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Willie Mae Thomas and two brothers, Wesley McKinnon and Jimmy McKinnon. He was a construction worker. Survivors include: two sisters, Shirley Diane McKinnon of Myrtle Beach, SC and Barbara Wilson of Huntington; four brothers, Julian L. McKinnon and John L. McKinnon, both of Bennettsville, SC, Ernest (Joy) Moody of Buffalo, WV and Johnny Moody of Charleston, SC; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Roslyn Campbell of Huntington. A memorial gathering will take place from noon until 1:00 pm Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
