Obituary
Robert Wesley Williams, 79, of Huntington, widower of Alberta Joann Williams, died Tuesday, November 3, 2020 as a result of Covid 19 and other health conditions, at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 14, 1941 in Huntington a son of the late Robert Lee and Mildred Susan Curry Williams. His daughter, Betty Baldwin also preceded him in death, as well as his son-in-law, Glen Nida and his sister-in-law, Ruby Williams. He was a retired heavy equipment operator having worked in the Operating Engineers Local 132. Robert was a lifetime member of the NRA, belonged to the Northern American Hunting Club, and was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary in boating safety. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Billie Nida of Foster, WV, Lora and James Grizzell of Huntington, and Lynn and Chuck Henderson of Huntington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Donna Williams of Proctorville, OH, and Wesley and Sherry Williams of Huntington; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Walter Williams and David and Tammy Williams, all of Huntington; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Audrey Williams of Huntington, Brenda Chaney of Huntington, and Joann and Jerry Hall of Hartford, AL.; six grandchildren, Mikey Brown and spouse, Lindsay Brown of Turtle Creek, WV, Ashley Coalgrove and spouse, Josh Coalgrove of Lesage, Wesley D. Williams of Huntington, Christopher Baldwin and spouse, Taylor Baldwin of Castle, SC, Ziara Armstrong and spouse Quail Armstrong of Baker, LA, and Isabella Grizzell of Huntington; and ten great grandchildren, Jayden, Jackson, Adelyn, Noah, Millie, Noah, Cameron, Aaliyah, Mason, and Evan. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, November 6, 2020 at Chapman's Mortuary with his nephew, Reverend Duane Hall officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit one hour prior to the funeral Friday at Chapman's Mortuary. Due to COVID please observe social distancing. Condolences.
