Rose Marie Bowen
(May 12, 1926 - March 13, 2009)

ROSE MARIE BOWEN, 82, of Huntington, passed away Friday, March 13, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. Funeral Service will be 1 pm Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Rose was born May 12, 1926 in Logan County, WV, a daughter of the late Roy D. and Minnie Hobbs Samples. She had worked as a bookkeeper for many years and was a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1064. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Bowen and a brother, William D. Samples. She is survived by a daughter Patricia Marie Bias of Huntington; two grandchildren, Lisa Hunt (Charles) Travis of South Point, OH and Jackie (Rodney) Eplion of Huntington; eight great grandchildren, Brandon and Brandi Travis, Russell & Alexis Gravely, Harley, Rodney, Jarrett and Kendra Eplion; and one great-great grandchild, Haylee Gravely. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
