Mary Elizabeth Wheeler
(September 20, 1914 - November 5, 2010)

Mary Elizabeth Wheeler, 96 of Huntington went to heaven to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, Nov 5, 2010. She was a homemaker and was know by her beautiful smile and kindness to everyone. She was a good wife and a wonderful and caring mother. She loved her dog Casper and collected Porcelain Dolls. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wheeler, her parents; Walter & Mamie Bailey, one sister, Charlotte Atkinson, and one brother Ralph Bailey. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Woodard, one grandson, Richard Robert Woodard (Wife Andrea), great grandson who she adored, Garrett Michael Robert Woodard, a Niece Janet Dale Martin, a Nephew, Tommy Dale Atkinson, and a special friend, Barbara Danford that visited her every week. She was a member of Madison Ave. Christian Church, and a resident of Heritage Center. Special thanks to everyone that helped care fore her at Heritage Center and Special Thanks to Nurse Jill, Cardiac Step down at St. Mary’s Medical Center & Hospice of Huntington for their love and compassion. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30pm Wednesday at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home (924 20th Street, Huntington) with Pastor Jamie Gump & Pastor Brenda Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30pm until service time at the funeral home.
