Ardelia Pegram
(May 14, 1929 - September 20, 2015)

Ardelia S. Pegram, 86, of Huntington, WV passed away at her home September 20, 2015. She was born on May 14, 1929 in Covington, VA a daughter of the late Samuel Smith and Annie Shelton Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur L. Pegram, Sr.; daughter Delphene Pegram Smith, brothers; William Smith, Samuel Smith and Gerome Smith, sisters; Helen West, Luvella Scott, Otelia Hunter and Mildred Jackson. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her children; Patricia D. Pegram of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, Donna L. Pegram of Huntington, Arthur L. Pegram, Jr. (Tonda) of Huntington and Arthuria Y. Pegram of Huntington who was also a caregiver to Ardelia. Also surviving is one brother; Gilbert P. Smith (Leatha) of Covington, VA, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pegram was a retired nurse who was greatly loved by all. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, September 26, 2015 with Pastor Cannon officiating at the First Baptist Church of Covington, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Covington, VA. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family.
