Steven Bryant Washington, 18, of Huntington, West Virginia passed away December 20, 2016. He was born March 20, 1998 at 9:28 P.M. at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Steven was a graduate of Huntington High School. He was taking a year off from Marshall to decide his course of study. He worked at Taco Bell from 16 to 18 years of age, then he transitioned to McDonalds. Steven had a very special boss at Taco Bell, Beth Ford. "He was so full of life! He always made everyone smile, cracking jokes and wanted others to feel good when he was in their presence. He definitely had a heart of gold." Steven played t-ball and little league for League 4, football for D.C. Express and Huntington Middle School, lacrosse for Huntington High, Buddy Basketball at the YMCA where he was selected for the All-Star Team. Steven also volunteered for the Special Olympics at Huntington High School and was in the Talented & Gifted Program throughout elementary. He was in the Study Sports Medicine program at Huntington High School. Steven was selected for West Virginia State Legislative Program as a Page in Elementary and for advanced classes in middle school. Steven was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gloria Jean Bryant; paternal grandmother, Ann Washington; special grandmothers, Annie Jackson and Bertha Davis; and his uncle, Christopher Crawford. Steven leaves behind to mourn his loss; his loving parents, Winde Dawn Thornhill and Lawrence “Doomsey” Jackson; biological father, Steve Washington; brother, Escobar Maurice Jackson; step-sisters, Nickechelle Jackson and Airatona Jackson; half-sister, Jayonna Washington; uncles Chris Thornhill, Leron Washington and Marcus Thornhill; aunts, Christina Johnson, Rachel Stark, Christa Goodson (Steve), Caroline Robinson and Nikki Jackson; cousins, Brooklyn Thornhill Johnson, Maya Beatty, Ethan Goodson, Jaiden and Katlyn Robinson, and Maurice Jackson. Also, surviving; granny, Mrs. Tina and Ricky; paternal grandfather, Windle Thornhill; best friend/brothers, Robert Ford and Noe Perez; special people in his life, Pamela Bailey & family, Ryan, Danny, Rhonda & Jeff Bloss and Baylei & Jalyn; as well as a host of other family, friends and cousins; including the Thornhill, Jackson, Stark, Wyatt, Eschleman and Washington families. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Full Gospel Assembly with Bishop Samuel R. Moore, Pastor officiating. Family will welcome friends on Friday one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.
