Betty Ann Evans
66 of Charleston, WV transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on
Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in Charleston, WV. She was born June 19, 1954 in
Logan County, WV, daughter of the late Walter Evans and Mary Esther
Lawson. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers
Willie Albert Evans, Walter Evans Jr, Carl Evans, Tony Evans, Freddie Evans;
and one sister Valencia Evans. Betty leaves to cherish her memory eight
children: Winnetta (Couvertier) Vazquez, Dawn Wade, Donta̅ Wade, Donnice
Wade, Donovan Wade, Sparkle Wade, Markal Evans, Shania Evans and six
grandchildren: Ja’Darien, Deyzhawnte, Iyawna, Tim’Mara, Alon and Ciara.
Betty is also survived by her sister: Princess Lawson of Glen Burnie, MD and
two brothers: Daniel Lawson of Columbus, OH and Tracy Lawson of San Antonio,
TX and loving nieces and nephews Tasha, Kiana, Laterica, Jaion, Jonathan,
Raziel, Destiny, Sade and Bradley and friends who loved her dearly.
Betty loved her family, friends and newcomers alike. She was
caring and giving and would give her last to make sure others were
blessed.
As a caregiver by occupation, Betty spent many years caring
for others as a childcare worker and a home health aide in Charleston, WV
and was always eager to help where she could lend a hand. Her work suited
her servant heart, a kind soul through and through.
She was a loving sister, mother, auntie, grandmother and
friend who loved her family dearly and put the needs of others before
herself. She will be greatly missed.
A Home-Going Service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M, Friday,
February 12th, 2021 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, WV.
Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, WV. Visitation
will be 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M, Friday, February 12, 2021 at
Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home.
