Obituary
Mary Yvonne
Shaikh
(December 29, 1963 - February 7, 2021)
Mary Yvonne Shaikh
58, born in Clarksburg, WV left this earth on Sunday,
February 7, just in time for her first heavenly church service after a long
battle with end-stage lung disease.
Mary fought many manifestations of illness throughout
her life, but regardless of how sick she was or how bleak the future
appeared, she stayed strong. It would be wrong to say that Mary lost her
battles as her legacy lives on in all who remember her.
Mary graduated from Salem-Teikyo University with a
Bachelor of Science in Business and Accounting, but her unofficial
profession was as a teacher. She taught those around her many lessons in
patience, love, and service.
She readily admitted that she was not perfect, as none
of us are, and found comfort in knowing that God saw her as she is- a
perfect child of God. Knowing this, she loved on her family, both blood and
chosen, as unconditionally as she knew how. She is survived by her mother
Mary Harris, Clarksburg, WV, her children whom she loved very much De’on
Shaikh, Willow Wood, Ohio and Tia Price, Baltimore, MD her brothers Derek
