Skeans
(July 12, 1951 - March 9, 2021)
Beverly Jane Skeans
69, Of Huntington, WV, passed away at home after a
short illness, on Tuesday March 9th, 2021. She was born on July
12th, 1951 in Huntington, WV. She was preceded in death by her
beloved husband: John Henry Stroud, and her parents: John, and Lois Skeans.
She is survived by two sons: Jeremy (LaDonna) of Wayne,
WV, and John (Marie) of Kenova, WV, as well as one grandson: Nicholas
Skeans; one sister, Gloria (William) Earl, and one brother, John Lloyd
(Tamara) Skeans. Other survivors include three nieces, one great-nephew and
her ever-loyal companion, Henry the Schnauzer.
She was an avid musician, playing both piano and bass
guitar, as well as a lover of reading, especially of books that flew her to
vast fantasy scapes and sci-fi dystopia. She equally cherished Mathematics
which help to define both her existence and ours, and she held a master’s
degree from both Marshall and Indiana Universities in the field.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M, Saturday,
March 13th, 2021 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, WV.
