Obituary
Robert Kelly Bias, 84, of Milton went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 11, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Kelly was born July 8, 1932, the son of the late Charles Hershel and Clara Mabel Clark Bias. Kelly retired from C&P Telephone/Verizon in 1988 and Heck Funeral Home in 1999. Kelly was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served as communications commander. Kelly was a lifetime member of Zoar Missionary Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon until his illness. He was preceded in death by one sister, Myrtle Pauline “Polly” Bias Miller; three brothers, Forest Blair Bias, Darrell Ray Bias and Owen Elliott Bias. He is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Carolyn “Jackie” Morris Bias and two daughters, Jacqueline Kelly Daniels (James “Jed”) and Leslie Dianne Riedel (David); a granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth “Katie” Riedel; one grandson, Phillip Andrew Riedel; two brothers, Charles Hershel Bias, JR. (Marty) of Beverly Hills, FL, Keith Bias (Elsie) of Hurricane and one sister, Shirley Ann Bias Wicker (Dallas) of Warrenton, VA; two special nephews, Larry Karl “Bo” Morris of Huntington and Garry Edward Morris of Russell, KY and two special nieces, Samantha Ann Morris of Huntington and Mary Lee Bias Woodall (Emery “Woody”) of Culloden and many other nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. The family would like to express their gratitude to St. Mary’s Hospital, Dr. Kumar of HIMG, Hospice of Huntington, VA Medical Center of Huntington and the caregivers provided by Abode Home Health Care of Teays Valley, Gentiva Home Health Care of Huntington and ResCare of Barboursville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery.
