Clarissa Sue Gibson, 40, of Huntington, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. Born on July 22, 1976 in Camp Lejeune, NC, she was a daughter of Clyde “Bud” Gibson, Sr. of Milton and the late Della Mildred Woodard Luker. Clarissa attended Marshall University and then went on to attend Huntington Junior College where she obtained a degree in medical coding. She was a major supporter of the DC Express Youth football and baseball leagues, specifically League 3. In addition to her father, Clarissa is survived by her lifetime companion of 27 years, Dana Paul Bailey of Huntington; sons, Zachary Taylor (Angela) Gibson of Flatwoods, KY and Dakota Paul Bailey of Huntington; grandson, Blayde Alexander Henry Gibson; sisters, Donna Barker of Anderson, IN and Jenny (Patrick) Harvey of Ona; brothers, Clyde H. (Patti) Gibson, Jr. of Hilltown, PA and Eugene Gibson of Ashton, WV; step-mother, Shirley Ann Gibson of Milton; mother and father-in-law, Marsha Marie Webb and Willard Keith Webb; nieces and nephews, Stephen, Caleb, Clyde III, Brit, Tiffany, Dillon, Thomas, Chelcy, Winsten, Della, Tucker, and several great-nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the Hospice of Huntington for their continuous care and support. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Beard Mortuary, with Pastor George Scott, officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Memorial Park in Milton.
