Mary Esther Holley, 98, of Milton went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5, 2016 in St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born May 9, 1918 in Putnam County, WV, a daughter of the late Harry and Flossie Fisher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Holley; son, Edward Holley; three brothers, Harry Fisher, Robert Fisher and Granville Fisher; one sister, Virginia Black; granddaughter, Tami Holder; and two great granddaughters, Shawnay Holder and Faith Ashworth. Mary Esther was the oldest member of Mt. Olive Church in Milton, where she was a member for over 75 years. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Sharon Holley and Larry and Shonet Holley, both of Milton; one daughter and son and law, Sue Ann and Reid Carroll of Barboursville; nine grandchildren, Missy (George) Filippone of Westerville, OH, Jeana (Robert) Stonestreet of Hurricane, Beth (Jamie) Tolliver of Fraziers Bottom, Dr. Aaron (Miriam) Holley of Ferguson, KY, Sara (Chris) Ashworth of Fraziers Bottom, Dr. Danielle (Andrew) Whitley of Renton, WA, Megan Carroll of Huntington, Asgton Fernett of Texas and Nicholas Holder of North Carolina; one sister, Phyllis Blankenship of Hurricane; eight great grandchildren, Emily Filippone, Wyatt and Branson Tolliver, Connor and Landon Stonestreet, Maximus and Titus Ashworth and Miles Whitley; and two special nieces, Brenda Davis and Eileen Johnson. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Mt. Olive Church, Milton. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton and one hour prior to the service at the church. The family would like to thank the staff at Meadow House at Midland Meadows for their loving care.
