Obituary

Boyd Harrison Martin, 86, of Bolivia, NC., passed away Thursday, February 26, 2004 at his home after a short illness with his family by his side.  Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2004 at Mt Union Methodist Church, Pliny, W.Va.  He was born March 22, 1917, in Smithers, WV, a son of the late Edgar Forrest and Ina Wallace Martin.  He is also preceded in death by his wife, Rosalee Petery Martin; one son, Jerry Martin; two brothers, Veron Martin and Charles Martin; three sisters, Vivian Prather, Etta Hickman and Drema Finley.  Boyd was a member of Victory Baptist Church.  He is survived by one daughter, Rosalee Nelson of Talcott, W.Va.; one sister, Irene McCall of Hopewell, VA.; two brothers, Wilfred Martin of Las Vegas, Nevada and Floyd Martin of Grandspass, Oregon; 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 14 Great-great grandchildren.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 29, 2004 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton and one hour prior Monday at the church.
