Obituary

RONALD LEE ADKINS, 52, of Lesage passed away Sunday, August 21, 2005, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2005, at Woodmere Memorial Park, Abby of Peace Chapel. He was born May 24, 1953, in Huntington, a son of Homer Adkins of Lesage and the late Hattie Mae Beckett Adkins. He is also preceded in death by one brother, Homer Herald Adkins; maternal gradparents, Ernest Beckett and Ella Mae Venoy; paternal grandparents, Andrew Jackson Adkins and Eunice Irene Chapman. Ronald attended Lincoln Junior High School and graduated from Huntington East High School. He also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ron and Leslie Adkins and Tim Adkins; one daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Linville Brandenburg; the loves of his life, five grandchildren, Colton Adkins, Julia Adkins, Brittany Brandenburg, Justin Brandenburg and Austin Brandenburg; four brothers, Kenneth Adkins, David Adkins, Ray Adkins and Harold Adkins; four sisters, Eunice Ross, Judy Suiter, Stella Dobis and Barbara Lewis.
