ObituaryBEULAH MARIE HICKS POWELL, 79 of Huntington, formerly of Milton, widow of Arthur L. "Bill" Powell, left this world Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in St. Mary's Medical Center to walk free of pain and suffering with her Lord and Savior. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005, at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Tracy Mills and Rev. Buddie Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Beulah was born October 5, 1925, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Oscar Lee and Lula Victoria Searls Hicks. She is also preceded in death by her son, Rodger Keith Powell; two brothers, John and Fremont Hicks; two sisters, Elsie Hays and Juanita Templeton. She is retired from Corbin Limited with 35 years of service. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and former adult Sunday School Teacher. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Susie Powell of Barboursville and David and Nancy Powell of Ona; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela "Susie" and Scott Evans of Huntington; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Clarence and Irene Hicks and Betty Hicks; two sisters, Mola Ashworth and Theresa Lewis; eight grandchildren, Alisa and Jim Sizemore, Kelli and Chad Clark, Ami Powell and fiancT Cory Richardson, Heather, Brittani and Victoria Evans, Barbie and Brian Muller, Beth and Keith Chapman; eight great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Tyler Cook, Brooklyn Sizemore, McKenna and Alex Clark, Emilie McClellan, Andy Black and Carter Chapman. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, or one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
