Obituary

Lonnie L. Kirby, 79, went to be with his Lord on June 26, 2006.  Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.  Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.  He was born January 17, 1927 in Huntington, WV.  Mr. Kirby served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  Those who laughed with and loved him on this earth are:  Three children, Lynn Appeldorn, Pamela Dial and Jeffrey Kirby; siblings, Luther Kirby, Roger A. Kirby, Pansy Cartmill and Roberta Chapman; grandchildren, Chuck, Mary and Brooke Howerton, Jennifer, Andrew and Kelsie Dial, Emily, Paige and Brooklyn Comer, Julie and Alex O Niel and Aaron Dial; adored cat, Frisco; special friend and caretaker, Brenda Conley; and loving grandson, Jason Dial, devoted full time caregiver and fishing buddy.  We love our Poppy!  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
