Leah
Virginia McMillian, 74 of Barboursville went home to be with her Lord
Saturday, September 09, 2006 in Chateau Grove Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Heck Funeral
Home, Milton with Pastor Joseph Jarrett officiating.
Burial will follow in
Oaklawn
Cemetery,
Barboursville. Leah was born July 20, 1932 in Milton a
daughter of the late Floyd and Virginia Bowles McMillian.
She is also preceded in death by three brothers, Bowles McMillian,
Eugene McMillian and Floyd McMillian; one sister, Elizabeth Gard.
Leah was a member of the
Milton
Methodist
Church she was a
retired Counselor from the Kanawha County Board of Education.
She was a member of the
West Virginia and American
Counseling Association. She also served as Chairman of
the State Conference in
West Virginia as well as
serving as President, where she was honored as Counselor of the Year.
She as a member of the Phi Delta Kappa and served as President of
Kanawha Valley Chapter and served as Delegate to National Convention from
Kanawha Valley Chapter. She served as a Lobbyist for the
Kanawha Valley Chapter. She will be sadly missed by her
nephew and his wife, Chip and Rhonda McMillian; sister-in-law, Thelma
McMillian and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers
donations may be sent to Chateau Grove Nursing Home.

Home, Milton.
