Obituary

Betty Mae Blackwell, 71, of Ona, passed away Tuesday, July 03, 2007 at her residence.  Betty was born December 1, 1935, a daughter of the late Russell and Lucy Herzig Bernard.  She is survived by her husband, Jack C. Blackwell of Ona, W.Va.; one son, Cledith Blackwell of Apex, N.C.; five daughters, Jackie Godby of Monroe, Ga., Rita Blackwell of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Crystal Petrizzo of Jackson, New Jersey, Angie Whalen of Oxford, N.C. and Angel Blackwell of Ona, W.Va.; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
