Floyd Amos Jackson,
81, of
Winchester,
IN passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at
the Pine Knoll Nursing Home,
Winchester.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Heck
Funeral Home, Milton. Burial will follow in
Balls
Gap
Cemetery.
He was born on December 7, 1925 in Milton, a son of the late Amos
Dean and Minerva (Stanley)
Jackson. He was a veteran of the United States Army and
had been a Line Supervisor at the Hoosier Engineering Company for fifty
years. He was a charter member of the American Legion
Post, past member of the Winchester Masonic Lodge #56 F&A.M, Shrine of
Indianapolis and Scottish Rite of Fort Wayne, IN. and IBEW Union # 1393 IN
Indianapolis for fifty years. He is preceded in death by
his wife, Violet Jackson who died in 1999. He is also
preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. He
is survived by two sons, David Jackson and wife Sharon of Buckeye Lake, OH
and Dannie Jackson and wife Sheila of Salem, IN.; one daughter, Janet Mizner
and husband Bill of Winchester, OH; one sister, Edna Davis of Milton, W.Va.;
one half brother, Harry Jackson of Milton, W.Va.; five grandchildren and
five great grandchildren. Friends may visit from 6 to 8
p.m. Friday and one hour prior to service on Saturday at Heck Funeral Home.
