Obituary

Opal Marie Waters Dillon, 75, of Milton went to her heavenly home Thursday, March 20, 2008 in St. Mary’s Medical Center.  Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008 at the Milton Cemetery with Pastor Joseph Jarrett officiating.  She retired from Verizon Phone Company with 40 years of service.  Opal’s favorite pass time was her love of genealogy.  She enjoyed being a part of the KYOWVA Genealogy Society.  She is a 1951 graduate of Huntington East High School and she is a member of Milton United Methodist Church.  Opal is survived by her husband of 53 years Robert L. Dillon of Milton, their only daughter Robin L. Morris and her husband Albert of Lake Wylie, SC., two beloved granddaughters Megan E. Roberts and her husband Nick of Lake Wylie and Lindsey M. Rice and her husband Nathan of Milton, two cherished great grandsons Carson Daniel Rice of Milton and Zachary Tyler Roberts of Lake Wylie.   She also leaves behind two brothers Charles Leo Waters, and Oscar Dale Waters of Guyandotte, as well as many dear relatives, and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents Emzie Carl and Sylvia Garnet Courts Waters, one sister Dora Belle Waters Stewart, and one brother Willie Waters of Huntington.  Friends may visit from noon until 12:45 p.m. on Monday at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
