Obituary

Ruth Elizabeth Jenkins, 86, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 21, 2008.  Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Monday, November 24, 2008 at Heck Funeral Home with Joe Meadows officiating.  Burial will follow in Toney Hill Cemetery, Milton.  She was born August 12, 1922 in Milton, WV.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Ford” Jenkins; her mother, Lula Blake; brother, Clarence “Bud” Blake; sister, Sylvia Vienna.  She was a former packer for Blenko Glass and worked in Charleston to support the war effort.  She was very good with different crafts such as knitting and looming rugs.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Ford “Fordie” and Martha Jenkins of Milton; sister, Sally Sindeldecker of Williamstown, WV; two grandchildren, Amy Conrad and her husband, Dustin and JR Jenkins; three great grandchildren, Tyler Hayes, Hannah Conrad, and Kyle Jenkins; special niece, Susie Smith; special nephews, David Ashworth, Greg Meadows, Joey Meadows, and David Sindeldecker; very special friend and niece, Donna Cooper; great niece, Maggie Smith; great nephew, Ian Smith; host of other nieces, nephews, and family.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
