Obituary
Velva Chapman Ball,
93, of
Milton, went home to be with the
Lord on Monday, September 1, 2008 at her residence surrounded by those who
loved her. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM,
Friday, September 5, 2008 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Allen
Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in
White
Chapel
Memorial
Gardens, Barboursville.
She was born January 23, 1915 in
Milton,
WV a daughter of the late Ben
and Lona G. Chapman. She was also preceded in death by
her husband, Delmar Ball; her daughter’s fiancé, Albion Lee; fours sisters,
and three brothers. Velva was an active member of
Milton
Baptist
Church, serving on the
home department and always helping others. She was a
former nurse’s aide at St. Mary’s Hospital. She spent
her life giving to others. She is survived by her loving
daughter and caretaker, Beverley Ball of
Milton; and a host of family,
friends and neighbors. Special thanks to Dr. Linda Eakle
and her staff, Rev. Allen Stewart, and Gentiva nursing staff for all their
compassion and caring. The family requests donations be

Church.
