Obituary
James “Garry” Daniels,
61, of
Milton went to be with the Lord
on Thursday, September 18, 2008 after battling a long illness.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Monday, September 22, 2208
at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. James Jobe officiating.
Burial will follow in
Forest
Memorial Park,
Milton. He
was born December 26, 1946 in Hurricane, WV a son of the late Elic and
Jessie Daniels. He was also preceded in death by his
sister, Maxine Canterbury; his brother, Emory Daniels.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a lifelong member of the American Legion,
Post 139, Milton and served as 5th District Commander.
Garry retired from CSX after 40 years of service starting as a
laborer and working up to supervisor. He is survived by
the mother of his children, Mary Ann Daniels; three children, Jimmy Daniels
of Ona, Jody Allen of Milton, and Jessica Slate of Hurricane; sister, Bertha
Coyner and brother, Bobby Daniels both of Hurricane; seven grandchildren,
Davey, Chloe, Conner, Brandon, Maggie, Tristan, and Quentin.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM on Monday, September 22, 2208 at
Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
