Obituary

Stephen Micheal Spurlock, 60, of Milton, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009 in St. Mary’s Medical Center.  Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM, Monday, April 20, 2009 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.  Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane.  He was born September 22, 1948 in Milton, WV, a son of the late Charles Van and Freda Spurlock.  He was a retired correction officer for the State of West Virginia and a U.S. Army veteran.  He is survived by his two sons and daughter-in-law, Marc Spurlock of Clarksburg, WV and Shawn and Jamie Spurlock also of Clarksburg, WV; three grandchildren, Ashley Harris, Ryan Ayers, and Angelina Spurlock; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Ronnie Lewis of Milton, Pamela and Charles McCallister of Hurricane; his dog, “Peaches”; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who love him and will greatly miss him.  Visitation will be from 6 to 9 PM, Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
