Obituary

Vada Irene Morton, 91, of Culloden, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 14, 2009 in St. Mary’s Medical Center.  Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, June 19, 2009 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Gary Bishop officiating.  Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.  She was born July 18, 1917 in Hurricane, WV a daughter of the late George E. and Verna Good Davis.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Morton; brother, Richard Davis; sister, Ethel Ann Meadows.  She was a former hairdresser for her own beauty salon.  She is survived by two sons, David and Roberta Morton of Culloden and Richard and Reva Morton of Hartselle, AL; sister, Maxine Smith of Bowling Green, KY; brother, Bill Davis of Flairisant, Colorado; five grandchildren, Ronny, Rene, Rodney, Michael, and Robert; four great grandchildren, Kyra, Amber, Alicia “Katie”, and Cody; one great great  grandson, Travis Lee.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
