Lewis E. Clagg
March 31, 1921 - April 6, 2010



Lewis E. Clagg, 89, of Milton went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 6, 2010. He was born March 31, 1921 in Putnam County, WV, a son of the late Perry and Sarah Clagg. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary Jo Ball Clagg; two grandchildren, Paul Michael and Colby Clagg; two brothers, Isaac and Boyd and one sister, Alpha. He attended the Milton United Methodist Church, was a member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge #68 A.F. & A.M. and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a retired insurance agent with Peoples Life Insurance. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita M. Clagg and four loving children; daughter, Teresa (Jack) Jones of Milton and three sons, Patrick (Marilyn) Clagg of Milton, Glen (Orareva) Clagg of Corinth, KY and Roger (Tinker) Clagg of Southport, NC; six grandchildren, Mary Alice (Dwight) Fisher of Milton, Patrick Clagg Jr. of Milton and Anne Frances (Mark) Bias of Stanley, NC, Hollie Clagg and Kevin (Angie) Clagg of Corinth, KY, Chad (Leslie) Clagg of Barboursville, WV ; seven great grandchildren, Nicki Kinder of Milton, Ian and Paige Bias of Stanley, NC, Logan Clagg of Corinth, KY, Skyler & Emerson Clagg of Barboursville, WV and Caleigh Clagg of Milton; one sister, Anis Mees of Milton; three step-children, Randolph (Suk) Sturwold of Lawton, OK, Can Dance (Kerry) Singer of Woodlawn, TN and Sandra Brown of Milton; six step-grandchildren, Michael Singer of Germany, Christina (Jason) McClellan of Barboursville, PFC Craig Singer of Ft. Carson, CO, Patricia (Thomas) Hall of Woodlawn, TN, Sean Corbit of Woodlawn, TN and Maranda (Richard) Wilkins of Colorado Springs, CO; four step great grandchildren, Ronald McClellan, Brian McClellan and Robert McClellan all of Barboursville and Rachelle Singer of Huntington; one nephew, Lionel (Donna) Mees of Milton; two nieces, Pam (Clark) of Ft. Wayne, IN and Barbara Langston of Toledo, OH and three grand-nieces, Amy, Gail and Kim. Visitation will be held at Heck Funeral Home, Milton on Thursday, April 8, 2010, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010 at Heck Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Cartwright and Rev. Keith Leap officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
