Charles Burke King
July 27, 1942 - July 7, 2010

Charles Burke King, 67, of Ona, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Minister W. R. “Bud” Lucas officiating. He was born July 27, 1942 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Charles R. and Lucile V. Shields King. He was also preceded in death by one son, Richard Eric King. Mr. King was a 1960 graduate of East Fairmont High School and an avid fan of WVU football, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates and NASCAR racing. He also enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Scully King; one son, granddaughter and great grandson, whom he adored, Charles Brian King, Morgan Richelle King and Brian Matthew Ward, all of Milton; one sister, Charlene (Aaron) Miller of Bealsville, OH; two nephews, Brad and Craig and one niece, Brenda. Friends may call one hour prior to the memorial service Sunday at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
