Lano Irene Blackwood, 92, of Milton passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in Putnam Care & Rehab Center, Hurricane, WV. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Mark Finley officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock, WV. She was born January 6, 1919 in Salt Rock, WV, a daughter of the late Dewey and Thelma Rousey Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joel N. Blackwood; two daughters, Jo Karen Blackwood and Rande Ellen Blackwood and one brother, Charles Johnson. She is survived by a niece, Sharry (Jack) Horton. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at Heck Funeral Home. Mark Finley and Jack Horton will serve as pallbearers.
