Vona Marie Davis of Huntington, formerly of Milton, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center at the age of 93 years, 5 months, and 6 days. Funeral service will be conducted at NOON on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Pete Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. She was born April 4, 1918 a daughter of the late Black Moore and Belle Kenney Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Davis; grandson, Joey Davis; great granddaughter, Jasmine Davis; son-in-law, Delbert Needles; eight siblings, Paul, Carl, Earl, Leo, Moreland, Carsley, Genevieve, and Oretha. She was a retired nurses aide with Morris Memorial. She is survived by two sons, Sam Davis of Florida and Jerry Davis of Milton; three daughters, Catherine (Cathy) Needles of Gahanna, OH, Marleen (Marty) Stevens of Huntington, and Darleen (Dee) and husband, James (Jim) Childers of Huntington; grandchildren, Cheryl White, Deanna Ferguson (Jason Persinger), Patrick Keenan, Samuel “Bubby” Davis, Jerry W. (Chrissy) Davis, III, Jason Davis, Christi Nel, and Cindy (Rex) Hensel; step granddaughter, Joni Floyd; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Emma, Madelyne, Carliegh, Mason, Collin, Tyler, Dakoda, Emily, Justin, Jerry III, William, Courtnie, Meaghen, Cristen, RJ (Jessica), Zach, and Nicholas; great great grandson, Trey; special friends and caregivers, Wendy, Frank, and Frankie Roberts. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
