Louis B. Kearns

Louis B. Kearns, 85, of Branchland, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Gary Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock. Louis was born January 29, 1929 in Lincoln County, WV, a son of the late Walter and Ima Kearns. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Mr. Kearns was retired from Huntington Alloys after 35 years of service, and loved farming. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Oxley Kearns; one daughter, Pamela Kearns; two sons, Kevin Kearns and Dwayne Kearns; three stepsons, Ken (Rosie) Oxley, Delbert (Kim) Oxley and Ed (Susan) Oxley; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Elliott. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Heck Funeral Home.
