Obituary
Betty Joe Lucas,
71, of Culloden, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Heck Funeral Home,
Milton with Pastor Mark Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Lucas
Family Cemetery, Culloden. She was born August 3, 1942 in Logan, WV, a
daughter of the late Earl and Bessie Whitt. She was also preceded in death
by one brother, Bill Whitt. Betty was a member of Peaceful Valley Freewill
Baptist Church, Culloden. She is survived by her husband, Ray Lucas; three
daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Scottie Roberts of Culloden, Angie and
Steve Kirkland of Culloden and Pam and John Boy Prochnow of Milton; six
grandchildren, Heather Sampson of Culloden, Jennifer Black of Proctorville,
OH, Jessica Roberts of Culloden, Melonie Wiley of Milton, Randy Cox of
Hurricane and Malissa Prochnow of Milton; five great grandchildren, Kyleigh,
Jordyn, Aidan, Jacob and Coltin; one sister, Naomi Helphenstine of
Georgetown, KY; two brothers, Jimmy Whitt and Arnold Whitt, both of Culloden
and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday,
June 10 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
