Obituary
Rev. David
Eugene Barker, 51, of Glenwood,
WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2015 in UK Medical
Center, Lexington, KY. He was born February 17, 1964 in Pt. Pleasant, WV, a
son of James Barker and the late Dorothy Davis Barker. In addition to his
mother, David was also preceded in death by one daughter, Faith Barker and
one brother, Tony Barker. He is survived by his companion of 27 years and
the mother of his children, Martha Barker; one son, James Michael Thacker
and his companion, “Sis” Flora; one daughter, Hazel (David) Scarberry; one
grandson, Matthew Lee; two granddaughters, Sarah Massey and Santana Coffee;
four sisters, Patty (Sam) Kinder, Sharon (Eugene) Plumley, Joyce Hicks and
Donna (Andy) White; and one brother, Ronnie (Nannette) Barker. Friends may
call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Heck Funeral Home,
Milton. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday following
visitation. Burial will follow in Guyan Creek Church Cemetery, Glenwood.
