Obituary
Carl Raymond Finley,
82, of Milton passed away in St. Mary's Hospital, Saturday July 18, 2015.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Heck
Funeral Home, Milton. Burial will follow in Culloden Cemetery, Culloden.
Carl was born April 28, 1933, a son of the late George and Clara Manning
Finley. He was a United States Army Korean War-era Veteran serving from 1953
to 1956 (stationed two of those years in Germany). He was retired from
Columbia Gas after 36 years of service, primarily as a heavy equipment
operator. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years Freda Mae Finley, son Carl
Alan Finley, three brothers, Ralph Finley, Delmar Finley and Kermit Finley
and three sisters, Kathleen Sergent, Opal Kirtley and Violet Harshbarger.
Carl is survived by his son Edward “Eddie” of Westerville, Ohio, three
grandchildren Samuel Alan, Leah Mae and Mary Sophia all of Westerville,
Ohio, one sister Marietta Grass of Milton, and longtime girlfriend, Virginia
Hager “Ginny” and her family. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday July
21st at the funeral home.
