Obituary
Vonda Virginia (Setliff) Hinkle,
88 of Lesage, WV went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2015
surrounded by her family. Vonda was born on October 1, 1926 to James Isaac
and Rose Etta (Nida) Setliff in Fraziers Bottom, WV. She was the youngest of
10 children. Vonda was a beloved mother, grandmother, and wife. She always
put others before herself. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and, most of all,
spending time with her family. Vonda is survived by her husband of 68 years,
Kenneth Ray Hinkle, sons Kenneth, Jr. (Sharl) Hinkle, of Fraziers Bottom,
WV, and Norman (Julia) Hinkle of Milton, WV and daughter Deborah (James)
Barnett of Ashton, WV. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Jason
Krantz, Todd Krantz, Ben Hinkle, Brandi Hinkle, Justin Hinkle, Joe Hinkle,
Amanda Barnett Alby and Jillian Barnett. She also had 16
great-grandchildren. Vonda was preceded in death by her parents and also her
nine siblings: Mary Hodge, Garnet Romine, Vada Wray, Essa Faulkner, Manuel
Setliff, Gilbert Setliff, Allie Doss, Lotta Coyner, and Mina Young. Funeral
services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Heck Funeral
Home in Milton, WV with Pastor Chuck Elkins and Pastor Darren Ellis
officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in
Barboursville, WV. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on
Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Heck Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
