Obituary
Frances “Penny” Melissa Henry,
89, of Lesage went to be with the Lord and her beloved husband of 42 years,
Russell (1/3/88) on July 28, 2015 at Hospice House in Huntington. Penny was
born March 6, 1926 in Barboursville. In addition to her husband, she was
preceded in death by infant son, Russell Dale Henry. She attended Spurlock
Creek Baptist and Union Chapel Community Church. She was a member of the
Rebekah Lodge and the Helping Hands Group, volunteered at Central Elementary
School and donated many craft items to the veterans and nursing homes. She
is survived by two daughters, Doris Boyd of Ironton, OH and Barbara “Jeanie”
Adams of Lesage; son, Daniel Henry of Lesage; grandchildren, Debbie Boyd
Madison of South Point, OH, Teresa Boyd Riffe of Ironton, OH, Lisa Boyd Seig
of Ashland, KY, Jennifer Adams Johnson of Lesage, Jason Adams of Milton,
Michael Henry of Glenwood, Rebekka Henry of Lesage, Patrick Henry of Ona and
Tyler Henry of Glenwood; 14 great grandchildren; eight great-great
grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Bowen of Huntington. The family would
like to thank Geraldine Sanders for all the love and care shown. Friends may
call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Union
Ridge Cemetery, Lesage with the Rev. Ed Hood officiating.
