Robert “Larry” Black, 74, of Culloden, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Milton United Methodist Church with Pastor Lynn Cartwright officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church beginning at noon. He was born March 27, 1941 in Logan, WV, a son of that late Robert Vernon and Pearl Mae Black. Larry served in the US Air Force during the Korea and Vietnam Eras and was retired from American General Life Insurance Company after 28 years of service. He is survived by his loving companion. Black of Culloden; two daughters, Tenna (Daniel) Watts of Hazard, KY and Teresa (Paul) Meadows of South Point, OH; two sons, Bob (Angie) Black and Scott (Sue) Black, all of South Point, OH; their mother, Juanita Black Christian of South Point, OH; 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon R. (Marlene) Black of Wellington, OH and Ed (Karen) Black of Proctorville, OH; and many nieces and nephews. Heck Funeral Home, Milton is in charge of arrangements.
