Phillip Scott “Moose” Gibson, 52, of Milton passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at his residence. He was born August 24, 1963 in Huntington, the son of Charles and Maxine Rice Gibson, of Milton. In addition to his parents, he is survived by six sisters, Sandy Reffitt, Sharolyn (Paul David) Scites, Terry Gibson, Rhonda (Roger) Simmons, Mendy (Gary) Miller and Lisa (Jesse) Manning. He is also survived by Patrick Hysell, who was like a son to Phillip and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Phillip did beautiful glass work when he worked with his father at Gibson Glass. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2015 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Kim Stone officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. The family would like to thank his neighbors and friends, especially Carl Glover and Mike Ramsey for checking on him and keeping him company during his illness.
