Obituary
EDWARD EARL DENNISON
EDWARD EARL DENNISON, 73, of Chesapeake, Ohio, made his journey to those waiting for him in Heaven on, Monday, June 1, 2009, after a long battle here on earth. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Henson Mortuary with the Rev. Fred Ramey officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Huntington. He was the former owner of Earl Dennison Appliances, which he and his wife operated out of their home. He was a member of the First Altizer Freewill Baptist Church, Huntington, WV. Earl was born on July 18, 1935 in Huntington, WV, the son of the late William Roy and Myrtle Marie Kitchen Dennison. A daughter, Juanita Marie Dennison who died in 1963, three sisters, Charlene Dennison Herrell, Norma Dennison Jarvis and Dorothy Dennison Gibson, a brother, Yuel (Buck) Dennison and his father-in-law, Roscoe Hesson, preceded him in death. He leaves behind to join him later at his Father's House, his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Teaven Lee Adkins Dennison, three daughters and their spouses, Paula Sue Dennison Sawyers and Lonnie Sawyers, of Chesapeake, OH, Roberta Ruth Dennison Dyer and Scott Dyer of Huntington, WV, Juanita Marie Dennison Hay and Jimmy Ray Hay of Stockport, OH, two sons and their spouses, Eddie Lynn Dennison and Roberta Jean Dennison, of Huntington, WV and Matthew Earl Dennison and Stacie Dennison, of Chesapeake, OH. He was a loving grandfather and pap to eight grandchildren; Eddie Lynn Dennison, Jr., William Roy (Bill) Sawyers, Jennifer Dawn Dennison Cox of Beckley WV, Ryann Nicole Dyer Marume, Rhiana Danielle Dyer, Jimmy Ray Hay, Jr., Teaven Marie Hay, and Joshua Hay. He also is survived by one great-granddaughter, Addison Cox and another great grandchild due in December. He is also survived by his mother in law, Sophia Lee Adkins Hesson, of Huntington, WV, five sisters, Edna Neal, of Pittsburgh PA, Sue Howard, Geraldine Dennison, Carolyn Johnson, of Huntington, WV, and Jessalyn Morrow of Guntersville, AL and his brother Roy Dennison, of South Point, OH. Also surviving him are numerous nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters in Christ. Serving as Pallbearers are, Matthew Dennison, William (Bill) Sawyers, Jimmy Hay, Jr., Joshua Hay, Slats Robertson, and Scott Dyer. Friends may call from 6-9 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the HENSON MORTUARY BARBOURSVILLE which is handling the service arrangements for the family.
